I've spent over 15 years working on the human side of cybersecurity, helping organisations connect people with security in ways that actually stick.
Most security programmes talk at people. I help organisations talk with them. There's a difference, and it changes everything.
I'm the Academy and Community Lead at Hoxhunt, a speaker, content creator, and co-host of The Awareness Angle, a cybersecurity podcast with listeners in over 100 countries.
My goal is always the same: make security make sense.
Most organisations treat cybersecurity as something that happens to people. A policy lands in an inbox. A phishing simulation catches someone out. A training module gets clicked through at 4pm on a Friday. And then everyone wonders why nothing changes.
I've spent my career arguing for a different approach. Security works when people understand why it matters to them personally, not just to the organisation. That means communicating differently, building culture deliberately, and treating the people you're trying to reach as intelligent adults who are busy, not careless.
That's what I mean when I say I make cybersecurity make sense. Not simpler for the sake of it. Relevant, human and worth paying attention to.
